Pole Vault Canada Mar. 8-13

The weekend of Mar. 11/12 was the unofficial end of the indoor season with several championship events.  The NCAA championships, the CIS championships and the New Balance Indoor Nationals all were contested with strong results from Canadians.  The one major event left is the World Indoor Champs in Portland this coming weekend.  Shawn jumps on Thursday(Mar. 17th) evening.  Good luck Shawn!  Listed below are a few of the notable past weekend results;

-Alysha Newman(Univ. of Miami) place 4th at the NCAA indoor championships with a jump of 4.40m.
-Robin Bone(Univ. of Western Ont.) successfully defending her CIS title with a season best jump of 4.25m.
-Ciran Virdi(MIT) won the NCAA DIII with a season best jump of 4.13m.
-Paige Ridout(Univ, of Alberta) and Rachel Wolfs(Univ. of Windsor) place 2nd and 3rd respectively at the CIS Championships, both clearing 3.91m.
-Makiah Hunt(Bolton Pole Vault) place 4th at the New Balance Indoor Nationals in New York jumping 3.88m.
-Madison Evans(Trinity Western) PB’d at the CIS clearing 3.81m ranking her #60 all-time in Canada.
-Meghan Lim(Univ. of Alberta) improved her SB to 3.81m at the CIS and continues to be ranked 2nd in Canada as a JR.
-David McKay(York Univ.) defended his CIS title on home turf and won with a jump of 5.02m
-Tristan Slater(Project Athletics) jumped 5.01m at the New Balance Indoor Nationals, placing him 4th.
-Allen Spencer(Univ. of Alberta) had a Season Best at the CIS, jumping 4.92m placing 2nd.
