Alysha Newman Clears 4.50m In New York

Alysha Newman continues her strong indoor season clearing a season best of 4.40m on her way to clearing a lifetime best of 4.50m in New York at the Armory. After missing the 2015 indoor season due to injury Alysha is pushing hard for Rio. 4.50m is the qualifying standard but it must be cleared outdoors. Kelsie Ahbe and Melanie Blouin both cleared 4.50m outdoor last year, which gives them the standard. It looks like it is going to be an interesting next few months leading up to the Olympic trials in Edmonton. We have three girls now and who knows how many will be over 4.50m by July.

Great jump Alysha!
